Violent crimes, the transport chaos, too expensive hotels - besides all it football fans who intend to arrive to the republic of South Africa on the World championship, risk to face baboons-thieves. These dexterous animals have learnt to open doors of not locked cars and to get inside in search of meal. Besides, every year baboons behave all more aggressively.
The authorities of Cape Town – the most popular tourist direction of the country – try to supervise growing aggression of animals. But it not always is possible. For example, on November, 24th the flight of baboons has opened four cars in one of suburbs of Cape Town.
In Cape Town, especially in its coastal areas, 17 groups of baboons trade is about 420 monkeys. Shooting of these animals is forbidden by the law of the republic of South Africa, however the aggressive behaviour of primacies has compelled local residents and tourists to go on the conflict to the authorities, informs Guardian.
The experts of the Cape Town university investigating behaviour of monkeys, are afraid that in 2010 set of the tourists who have appeared in the republic of South Africa for the first time, will feed up baboons, than will definitively accustom primacies to human meal.
Inhabitants of Sajmonstauna (Simonstad,) have addressed to the authorities with the request to put suburb of the South African capital gate on the road conducting from a city to reserve on cape of Kind Hope. Cars with tourists will stop on road to “territory of baboons”. Drivers and passengers will receive brochures on the native language which will explain to them why at a meeting with baboons it is necessary to remain in the car, having blocked all doors and windows.

The head of this campaign of Liz Hardman speaks: “We worry for tourists who do not read and do not speak English. It threatens them. Many consider that baboons are harmless. But it not so. They – aggressive wild animals”.
In the meantime the authorities of the republic of  South Africa continue to insist that baboons do not represent threat for World championship carrying out on football. Rik Mkhondo representing organizers of tournament from outside the republic of South Africa, says that local residents intend to change the habits and vital way for 31 day. “We will work with cities in which area primacies live. There already the safety measures, capable to protect our numerous visitors from dialogue with wild animals” are now developed, – he has noted.
